Our client is one of Australia's biggest poultry producers who excel in innovation, quality, and high standards.
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to oversee and coordinate feed manufacturing operations, including pelleting, grinding, and out-loading processes.
The role ensures production meets company quality standards, safety protocols, and inventory accuracy while supervising daily operations and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
This role operates on a rotating day and night roster, with shift start times at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, in accordance with the site's rostering schedule.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* To co-ordinate and / or supervise the operation of the Pelleting Mill, Hammermill and grinding processes in accordance with the Sites Operational Procedures
* Managing the out-loading process to ensure correct feeds / orders are sent to correct farms / customers
* Ensure that production is monitored and controlled and the finished product has been manufactured according to company standards
* That all feed is correctly and efficiently manufactured and that corrective and preventative measures are implemented as required
* Any other reasonable duties, as required, commensurate with the role
* Ensure all aspects of the manufacturing process are planned and executed within the acceptable tolerances and to site targets
* Accurate inventory reconciliation and reporting to site management,
* Participate in mill hygiene activities, as directed
* Ensure at all times that the plant and equipment meet specified standards is in safe working conditions
* All QA finish feed testing requirements including checking pellet size are completed against site requirements
* Staff and workplace issues are reported to the Site Manager or delegate when they occur focusing on continual improvement
* Any other responsibilities and/or Authorities as specifically designated by Site Manager or Delegate
* Ensure all Safety, Quality, work instructions, SOP's and environmental standards are adhered to
Essential:
* 5+ years industry (within manufacturing)
* BI boiler licence
* Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation
* Current Drivers Licence
* Forklift licence
* Confined Space, or willing to undertake training
* Working at Heights Ticket
* First Aid and/or Fire Warden Training, highly regarded
* Sound computing skills and be proficient in OFFICE and other operational programs
* Ability to work under pressure
* Effective communication verba land written skills
* Must have full Australian Working Rights
