Job Title: Transmission Infrastructure Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Infrastructure Specialist to provide professional engineering advice to internal and external clients. As part of our team, you will support the transmission design team in development of work methods, transmission infrastructure engineering design, calculation, and integration.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transmission engineering, construction, and maintenance practices along with design expertise, proficiency in software packages like PLS-CADD, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership and support to the engineering & design project team
* Provide subject matter expert advice within the business for matters relating to overhead transmission lines and related activity
* Provide professional engineering for overhead transmission lines including engineering input to construction and maintenance work methods
* Support emergency restoration activities and on-site project support for construction and maintenance teams
* Engage with clients to deliver major infrastructure projects
Requirements:
* A minimum of 10 years experience within the Transmission industry
* Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering that will allow admission as Corporate Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia (CPEng is desirable)
* Current SA (South Australia) Driver's license
* Knowledge of Transmission Design, Construction, and Maintenance Methods
* Transmission Engineering Software Package Skills (PLS-CADD, Tower, & PLS Pole)
* Project Management Skills (Planning, optioneering, organising, and prioritising)
