KOTRA (Korea Government Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) is a non-profit South Korean Government organisation that promotes and facilitates trade, investment and overseas recruitment between Korea and Australia.
We are seeking a motivated candidate who has a genuine interest in promoting the business relationship between Korea and Australia.
Main Duties
* Supporting the planning and delivery of key trade promotion projects, including:
o Renewable Energy and Wind Energy Industry Delegations
o Supporting Energy sector-focused trade missions and business delegations
o Assisting with sales-related activities, buyer matching, and business meeting arrangements
* Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo (KBEE / Hallyu Expo)
* Supporting the operation of the Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo, including K-POP performance coordination and B2B business consultations
* Assisting with sales activities, exhibitor/buyer engagement, and on-site event delivery
* Supporting business delegation projects by coordinating Korean companies visiting Australia for trade and market expansion opportunities
* Conducting market and industry research, competitor analysis, and preparing business reports for Korean companies
* Organising and facilitating business matchmaking meetings between Korean companies and Australian buyers
* Processing and responding to international trade enquiries from Korean and Australian companies
* Liaising with Korean suppliers, Australian companies, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and government agencies
* Preparing presentation materials, briefing documents, meeting schedules, and post-event reports
* Monitoring industry trends and identifying new business opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, consumer products, technology, food, beauty, and lifestyle industries
* Providing administrative and general office support as required
We are looking for
* Highly motivated and team oriented person, who works well autonomously within a small knit team.
* Strong Korean Language skills (speaking / listening / reading / report level writing) required
* Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to complete work within a set time frame
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
* Marketing / business degree (or above qualifications) or related work experience preferred
* A genuine interest in doing business with Asia will be well regarded
* Strong MS Office and Hancom Office skills are required
