The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and capable Project Manager to join our high-performing team on a 6-month contract. This role has been created to support our growing workload and will suit someone who enjoys working on complex, technical projects and collaborating with teams of engineers, scientists, and technicians.
You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and reporting across multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
We welcome experienced Project Managers as well as engineers or physicists looking to step into project management—training and mentoring support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project delivery across Defence, R&D;, and commercial programs.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation activities.
- Support technical leads and project staff to achieve successful outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, customers, and board members.
- Implement digital project management tools to streamline processes.
About You
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics or related field).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in project management or project engineering (formal PM certification highly regarded but not essential).
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple technical projects.
- Eligibility for (or possession of) an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
