The Opportunity
This is a perfect opportunity for a seasoned WHS leader to establish themselves within a well-established but evolving organisation. We are seeking someone to look after our QLD regional portfolio to be based out of our South Brisbane office location.
As we build a new team with bold aspirations, this role offers the chance to help raise the bar in safety across our regional operations. You'll play a key role in shaping a proactive, risk-based safety culture that will have lasting impact across the business.
This is a high-visibility, business-critical role that will position you as a key contributor to Stockland's future success. We're looking for a Senior WHS Manager to lead the implementation of our safety strategy. This is a key leadership role focused on embedding a proactive, risk-based safety culture across construction, development, and asset operational environments.
Your tasks will include:
* Leading a team of WHS Managers across multiple states
* Driving WHS strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
* Partnering with senior stakeholders to influence safety outcomes
* Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and Stockland standards
* Supporting cultural transformation and leadership capability in safety
To be successful in this role you:
* Are a seasoned WHS leader with experience across development, construction, and investment management environments
* Demonstrate strong people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence safety culture across regions
* Have extensive WHS experience, including time as a subject matter expert
* Bring expertise in WHS systems, compliance, and serious incident investigations
* Have led teams through change, including managing complex safety challenges and cultural transformation
* Hold a Diploma or Degree in WHS, Environmental Management, or a related technical field
* Possess experience in high-risk industries such as infrastructure, energy, or construction
* Are confident in managing multiple projects and contractors simultaneously
