Individual Support Worker
Casual. Location: Newcastle Region – Travel involved. Must have a full NSW Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance. Personal care is required. In‐home and community access program support. Monday 11am to 2pm initially.

What you will be doing
* Offering support in the home and the community
* Supporting our participant with mental health needs
* Providing personal care including showering, toileting, feeding and dressing
* Providing intellectual support with brain injury
* Assisting with community participation and recreation programs
* Administering medication safely and following individual support plans
* Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
* Providing feeding (MMP training ideal)
* Using manual handling skills

What you will bring
* Availability Monday 11am to 2pm, with additional shifts being added for the right person
* Demonstrated experience with chronic stress, brain injury including neurological issues
* Demonstrated experience with complex needs such as sensory overload
* Regulation skills remaining calm under pressure
* Exceptional understanding of trigger based behaviours due to protective nervous system responses
* Strong computer skills are essential for daily documentation, reporting, and communication
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
* Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
* Qualifications in Disability or Community Services or equivalent relevant experience
