About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to maximise paid channel performance and ROAS through data‑driven strategies and optimisations, ensuring alignment with business goals. The Performance Marketing Lead will lead and mentor a team of performance marketing specialists, supporting their growth and delivery of campaign excellence.

What you will do

Manage budgets, invoicing, and forecast performance, while tracking KPIs to optimise ROAS.

Oversee day‑to‑day performance management, collaborating with external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver results.

Oversee execution of campaigns, ensuring consistency and quality across the team.

Analyse campaign performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimisation.

Develop regular reports and utilise dashboards to communicate key insights and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Conduct A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimise ad creatives, landing pages, and targeting parameters.

Provide strategic recommendations based on data‑driven insights to improve overall campaign effectiveness and ROI.

Support the evolution of the channel mix and performance media strategy.

Drive the evaluation, understanding and adoption of new digital formats, channels and opportunities including development and communication of test and learn strategies and tactics.

Develop and manage performance marketing budgets, allocating funds effectively across channels and campaigns.

What we’re looking for

5+ years demonstrated experience working in a performance marketing role, preferably within a digital marketing agency, retail company, or similar workplace.

Previous people‑management experience preferred, with the ability to train and support a junior team.

Strong project‑management experience, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to set clear campaign objectives, track KPIs, and deliver measurable results aligned with business goals.

Advanced proficiency with Google Ads, SA360, Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics and Excel.

Strong analytical skills with ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.

Experience in campaign invoicing, financial reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with finance policies.

Strong capability in budget allocation, pacing, and ROI optimisation.
