Senior Manager – AI Enablement
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Data, this role leads one of the most high‐impact transformations underway at Angle Auto Finance – adopting AI to improve customer experiences, uplift our people, and drive measurable business outcomes. The Senior Manager will shape the organisation's AI direction and ways of working: setting standards, building the community, and turning the most valuable ideas into real solutions that are used every day.
Core Responsibilities
* Establish and run an enterprise AI enablement program (training, playbooks, standards, and support) to increase adoption and capability across the business, including ownership of the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE).
* Run the AI Community of Practice (CoP) to build practical capability, share reusable patterns and lessons learned, and connect business champions and delivery teams.
* Own the AI use case intake and prioritisation process, partnering with business leaders to define outcomes, success measures, and delivery plans.
* Lead delivery (directly and via squads/partners) of priority AI initiatives, ensuring solutions are productionised, adopted, and delivering measurable business value.
* Define and embed an AI value tracking approach (benefits hypotheses, baselines, adoption metrics, and realised value reporting) aligned to Angle's strategic pillars (growth, efficiency, experience, and risk & control).
* Partner with Risk, Legal/Compliance, Security, and Data Governance to implement lightweight Responsible AI guardrails (privacy, security, auditability, and human oversight) for all AI solutions.
* Own the AI enablement toolchain and patterns (e.g., approved AI assistants, AI agent frameworks, evaluation approach, prompt libraries, and reusable integration patterns) in collaboration with Technology teams.
* Maintain a strong hands‐on engineering posture: develop and/or oversee reference implementations for LLM applications and AI agents (e.g., orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or equivalent), including API design, integration patterns, automated evaluation, and production monitoring.
* Manage strategic AI vendor and partner relationships end‐to‐end (selection input, commercials, governance, delivery assurance, and knowledge transfer), partnering with Procurement and Technology to ensure value‐for‐money and sustainable internal uplift.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Commerce, or similar, and/or equivalent practical experience.
* Certifications or training in cloud/AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google) and/or product, agile, or change management – desirable.
Experience
* Extensive experience across data, analytics, software, or digital delivery roles, with recent hands‐on experience delivering AI solutions into production.
* Demonstrated experience leading enterprise enablement and adoption programs (training, communications, playbooks, and support) that drive sustained behaviour change.
* Proven ability to build AI business cases and deliver measurable outcomes, including defining KPIs, baselines, and benefits realisation approaches.
* Experience with GenAI and AI agent patterns (e.g., RAG, tool/function calling, evaluation), plus familiarity with model risk concepts (hallucinations, bias, privacy, prompt injection).
* Hands‐on engineering experience building and deploying LLM applications and AI agents (e.g., using LangChain or similar frameworks), including prompt/version control, evaluation, CI/CD, observability, and safe‐by‐design patterns.
* Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments (identity/access, data platforms, SDLC, DevOps) and ability to partner effectively with Engineering, Security, and Risk teams.
* Experience in financial services or other regulated environments, including governance, privacy, and auditability expectations – desirable.
* Strong hands‐on software engineering background, with experience building LLM‐enabled products (RAG and agentic workflows) using frameworks such as LangChain (or equivalent) and integrating them into enterprise platforms.
* Experience managing vendors/partners, ensuring delivery outcomes and capability uplift for internal teams.
