An opportunity exists to manage the effective and efficient administration of the Training Unit of the Dispute Resolution Branch and to assist the community through the provision of high-quality training in mediation skills and conflict management.This role currently reports to the Practice Manager of the DRB and manages the Training Unit and supervises two staff and approximately 20 casual trainers and coaches, who are located around the state.This role is responsible for the provision of external fee-paying training courses; the learning and development of 50 staff and approximately 100 casual mediators and the operation of the DRB as a Recognised Accreditation Provider (RAP) under the new Australian Mediation and Dispute Resolution Accreditation System (AMDRAS).At the DRB, we are committed to investing in our staff and working with them to develop their careers. Also, all DRB staff are encouraged to become nationally accredited mediators and to use and build their mediator skills in addition to their job specific skills.Your key responsibilities: - Manage and promote the delivery of DRB's dispute resolution training services state-wide, including the marketing, development, coordination, presentation and evaluation of training to meet the needs of a diverse audience including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Provide leadership, guidance, development and supervision to the staff, trainers and coaches of the DRB training unit. Manage the human, financial and information resources of the DRB training unit including taking responsibility for generating the targeted revenue from fee-paying training programs. Consult, liaise, negotiate, build and maintain relationships with, and promote DRB's training and mediator accreditation services to relevant government and non-government agencies including courts and tribunals, local stateand federal government departments and community service agencies.
