The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and proactive National Safety Advisor to lead and support workplace health and safety initiatives across our national operations. This is an onsite role based across our Clayton and Mulgrave sites, with regular travel to NSW, as it plays a critical part in driving MNA's safety and embedding a strong, proactive safety culture across the business. Reporting to the Head of Business Excellence, you will partner closely with frontline teams, site leadership and senior stakeholders to ensure our Safety Management System (SMS) is effectively implemented, continuously improved, and aligned with operational needs and legislative requirements. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with practical, site‐based support and coaching.

Description

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of MNA's Safety Management System across multiple sites.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and internal standards through audits, inspections, reporting and governance activities.
* Conduct risk assessments, support incident investigations, and oversee corrective and preventative actions to minimise workplace risks.
* Develop and maintain WHS procedures, policies, risk registers, management plans and critical control processes.
* Coach and support site leadership teams, WHS committees and employees to strengthen safety capability drive engagement and a proactive safety culture.
* Provide guidance and technical support on safety systems, change management and risk mitigation activities.
* Complete safety data reporting for leadership teams across a variety of metrics and action plans and analysis data to proactively address emerging or residual risks.

Skills and Experiences

* Experience in a WHS role within manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing or FMCG environment.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation, Workers Compensation legislation, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards.
* Proven ability to conduct and facilitate risk assessments, investigations and audits.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience using safety management systems.
* A proactive, adaptable, and hands‐on approach to safety leadership.
* Minimum Certificate IV in WHS or related discipline.
* Auditing qualification highly regarded.
