We are seeking suitable applications from highly capable and values‑driven health professionals to join our dynamic Pharmacy team at Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG). This is a permanent full‑time appointment.
What is our Senior Pharmacist (Medical Specialties Lead) role? The position leads the pharmacy service provided to the Medical Specialties areas, including inpatient services, and provides leadership for the Medical Specialties Pharmacy team. It promotes safe, rational and cost‑effective medicine therapy by providing specialised clinical pharmacy services which include monitoring the patient’s total medication profile, providing medicine information, and undertaking teaching and research. The role plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care, and ensures practice is in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia Regulation Standards, Pharmacy Board of Australia Codes and Guidelines, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners, and North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) policies and guidelines.
Core responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate pharmacy operations within Medical Specialties inpatient settings.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication review, information provision, teaching and research.
- Plan, implement and evaluate patient safety and quality of care initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Mentor and develop Pharmacy team members.
