ResponsibilitiesThe Position: Reporting to the Autonomous Field Manager, we are seeking a Field Support Engineer role.
The Field Support Engineer is responsible for a wide variety of duties that oversee the integration and commissioning of our autonomous hardware, working cross functionally with our development and deployment teams and client to assist in the transition to deployment of the AHS integrated solution.
This position is FIFO on a 8:6 roster, fly out from Perth to our client's site.
All accommodation and flights will be provided.As a Field Support Engineer your role will include the following responsibilities;Integrate, debug, and commission drive-by-wire and autonomy hardwareIn-production facility and in-field, FIFO, deploying and testing of autonomous vehicle software and dynamic controlsPerform test execution for new firmware, software, or hardwareDeploy software on embedded Linux controllersDevelop test plans and schedulesDevelop test instructions for vehicle operatorsRegular reporting and discussions with NPI development teams to debug issues, provide product improvement suggestionsAnalyse, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of customer reported issuesAct independently with minimal supervision to conduct data collection and complete required vehicle performance testsContribute to customer documentation and training material for various software applicationsAssist customers with configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
QualificationsAbout you We are looking for a Field Engineer or Field Technician with experience in the development and application of AHS solutions for mine site operations.
This prospect will offer a unique chance to join a worlds 1 st in the evolving landscape of autonomous application in the mining sector.
In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;Bachelor's degree in an relative engineering discipline OR trade certified in electrical, auto electrician or mechanical with field-based experience working with AHS/OEM machinery within mining or heavy industry.Experience in the installation of vehicle electrical hardwareAbility to be agile and adaptable to fast changing requirementsExperienced in troubleshooting, problem solving in a testing/application environment within AHS or autonomous application within mining operationsValid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian CitizenDesirable, not essential;Automotive Electrical experienceWould consider experience working with heavy duty fleetsPrior experience with field-follow programs pertaining to AHS equipmentVector CANape, CANalyzer, CAN hardware tool experienceCAN bus communication and diagnostics experience (J1939)Experience with testing of controls and actuatorsExperience with data acquisition equipment (National Instruments tools, Somat Edaq, etc..)
