Gold Coast Van Fitouts are seeking multiple Van Fit-out Technicians. You will be responsible for the construction, assembly, installation and finishing of high-end custom campervan fit-outs. This role involves interpreting custom layouts and technical drawings, fabricating and installing cabinetry and structural components, and completing detailed finishing work to deliver premium quality campervan conversions.
This is a permanent full-time position for successful candidates, remunerated at $79,040 p.a. in addition to guaranteed superannuation.
Position requirements
* At least 2 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role.
* Certificate III (or higher) in Carpentry or a related field.
Responsibilities
* Interpreting CAD drawings, layouts, specifications, and build plans for custom campervan conversions.
* Measuring, marking, and preparing vans for cabinetry, structural framing, flooring, wall and ceiling installations.
* Fabricating and assembling custom lightweight cabinetry, storage systems, bed frames, wall structures, and interior components.
* Cutting, shaping, and installing timber, plywood, composite boards, laminates, trims and other fit-out materials.
* Installing flooring systems, wall linings, ceiling panels, insulation, and internal structural framing.
* Constructing and fitting custom kitchens, overhead cupboards, wardrobes, drawers and storage solutions.
* Installing interior and exterior fittings, and other campervan accessories in accordance with build specifications and quality standards.
* Installing and adjusting hinges, drawer runners, latches, trims, benchtops, and finishing hardware.
* Carrying out detailed fit-off and finishing work to achieve a premium aesthetic and functional outcome.
* Using power tools, hand tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
* Working alongside electricians, plumbers, and other trades during rough-in and fit-off stages of the build process.
* Assisting with modifications and problem-solving during custom build installations.
* Inspecting completed works to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and quality standards are met.
* Repairing, modifying, or replacing components where required during the build process.
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop setting.
* Assisting with loading, unloading, and handling materials and components within the workshop.
* Following workplace health and safety procedures and company build standards at all times.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of workshop systems, processes, and build quality standards.
