Primary and Public Health Nurse/Midwife Position
This role involves working in remote practice settings, providing services to clients in various communities. The successful applicant will be responsible for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on cultural sensitivity and awareness. Experience driving a manual vehicle and eligibility to obtain an NT driver's licence are essential.
The successful applicant will participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call roster and must be current with or willing to attain vaccination, remote emergency management, and midwifery emergency management certification.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing advanced nursing/midwifery knowledge, skills, and attributes within a specified area of clinical practice.
* Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Aboriginal-specific and culturally appropriate services are provided.
* Supporting and providing collaborative, appropriate, proficient, coordinated direct and indirect clinical care for complex client presentations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience in remote practice settings, with a strong understanding of cultural sensitivities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Eligibility to obtain an NT driver's licence.
