Senior Technology Leader


Job Description:

Storable is seeking a seasoned Senior Technology Leader to oversee the development of cloud-native SaaS solutions for its RV & Camping vertical. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering innovative, scalable technology that enhances operational efficiency and guest engagement for RV parks and campgrounds worldwide.

This leader will be responsible for leading distributed software development teams, driving strategic technical decisions, and collaborating closely with Product and Operations leadership to align technology delivery with platform roadmap goals.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. They will also have experience with Agile/Lean development, organizational process improvement, and modernization initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

* Define and execute product-aligned engineering strategies to advance Storable's RV & Camping platform.
* Translate business priorities into actionable engineering roadmaps with clear KPIs and milestones.
* Oversee the design, development, and scaling of cloud-native applications serving global customers.
* Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical applications.
* Lead modernization initiatives to evolve legacy systems into distributed, service-oriented architectures.
* Anticipate and mitigate technical risks, embedding resilience into infrastructure and applications.
* Champion best-in-class engineering practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing.
* Standardize development processes across distributed teams to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.
* Continuously refine workflows to improve velocity, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with Newbook's Product and Operations leadership to align technology delivery with platform roadmap goals.


Operational Excellence & People Leadership:

* Recruit, build, and retain high-performing engineering teams across Australia and global hubs.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
* Establish and lead incident response protocols to ensure uptime and rapid resolution of production issues.
* Drive security-first development practices and readiness for regulatory and compliance frameworks.
* Define and track engineering performance indicators (e.g., velocity, uptime, release quality, cost efficiency).
* Provide regular reporting and insight to senior leadership on progress, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

* Partner with Product, Operations, and Client Success to align technology delivery with user and business needs.
* Serve as a transparent communicator with stakeholders across Australia, the U.S., and India.
* Influence roadmap decisions using data, technical insight, and a strong customer-first lens.


Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* 7+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including managing distributed teams.
* Proven track record delivering SaaS products at scale in fast-paced, growth environments.
* Strong technical background building products in PHP and React.
* Hands-on success transitioning from legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
* Deep understanding of AWS, scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and application security.
* Strong experience with Agile/Lean development and organizational process improvement.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act pragmatically.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven success influencing across functions and geographies.
