What you’ll do: advising investors, developers and funds on property developments (including joint ventures and development agreements) managing and advising on sales and purchases of interests in land (freehold, leasehold, strata, company title, easements and other rights) leading property due diligence, drafting and negotiating property components of sale and purchase agreements, share and asset sale documents, warranties, indemnities and completion mechanics for M&A and portfolio transactions advising on property aspects of fund formation and management (acquisition and disposal structures, SPV arrangements, investor documentation and manager/trustee duties) reviewing property documents (DAs, DMAs, Sale Contracts, Leases, AFLs, JVAs, presale certificates, etc) for lending purposes and preparing bankability reviews and co-ordinating sale contract audits advising on commercial property matters including leasing, assignment, surrender, sublease, landlord/tenant issues, licences, and rights of occupancy managing matters day-to-day, including budget and risk management, driving transaction progress and mentoring and developing more junior lawyers Delivering excellent client outcomes through transaction leadership and pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice which integrates with tax, finance and other PwC teams. Acting as a trusted adviser to investors, developers, funds, sponsors and corporate clients on high value and high-profile property matters. Growing the practice through business development, client relationship management and contributing to proposals and pitches Contributing to capability building – developing training materials, delivering internal training sessions and producing thought leadership on property and real estate trends and legal change Supporting an inclusive team culture and mentoring junior and mid-level lawyers to build technical and commercial skills What we’re looking for: Qualified lawyer with 10 years PQE (or equivalent), with substantial experience in property development, land transactions, funds and property-related M&A Strong technical knowledge of property law and associated regulatory regimes in Australia Demonstrated track record of leading property transactions and delivering high-quality commercial advice to a diverse client base (investors, developers, funds, corporates) Excellent drafting and negotiation skills and experience preparing acquisition/disposal documents, SPAs, fund documentation, leases and development agreements Commercial mindset with strong project and stakeholder management skills, and experience working in multidisciplinary teams Proven ability to build client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives Strong communication and coaching skills with a commitment to mentoring and developing others What you’ll gain: Leadership development programs and executive coaching designed to help you inspire teams and accelerate your career growth.
