**About the role**:
Reporting to the Allied Health Team Leader - GEM, some of your duties for the role will include:
- Participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients
- Collaborating with other team members to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate therapy/activity groups
- Participating in the interdisciplinary management of patients within the GEM Unit
- Independently assessing clients' abilities, problems and needs using a variety of formal and informal assessments as needed
- Supervising students allocated to the ambulatory programmes and undertaking teaching activities
**About you**:
- High level interpersonal and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate with clients and staff at various levels, both orally and in writing
- Experience in the social work management of older people with complex health and care needs
- Ability to contribute to professional education, the training of discipline specific students and to research
