This is a 12 month fixed-term part-time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 1, **** with possible extension and/or permanency.

Halls Head College Education Support Centre (HHC ESC) is a welcoming and inclusive environment aiming to build meaningful connections. It enrols secondary students from Year§7 to Year§10 needing intensive support to achieve their educational and personal development goals. A successful small school with 68 students in ****.

Role Summary
HHS ESC is seeking a hardworking, creative Marketing and Communications Officer to join our friendly, supportive team. The officer will lead and manage the strategic communication of the school across multiple platforms, supporting the school's goals and objectives as highlighted in our school plan.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the strategic communication of the school across multiple platforms.
Develop and implement school-wide marketing and communications plans.
Manage communications across various channels including social media, newsletters, website and print publications.
Create engaging marketing collateral and publications using design tools such as Canva.
Organise and coordinate key school and community events to connect the school to the community.
Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships.
Identify local opportunities that benefit students and the school.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in public relations, marketing, and communications.
Ability to develop and implement communication plans.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for community connection and inclusive education.

Eligibility
Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
Additional eligibility and training requirements are outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).

Demonstrated experience in coordinating events and marketing activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems and ability to manage and maintain information systems including websites and databases.
Demonstrated initiative and sound organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
Demonstrated sound research, conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills, including the ability to think clearly and solve problems autonomously.
