Mental Health Clinician, CAMHS- Sutherland Mental Health Service
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time. Position Classification: Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist Level 3 and Social Worker Level 3.
Remuneration: $113,617.00 - $138,482.00 per annum, plus superannuation. Hours per week: 20. Location: Caringbah.

Overview
CAMHS is a specialist Mental Health service providing comprehensive assessments, advocacy, therapy and other specialist services for children, adolescents, young people and their families who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties. The service uses a family multidisciplinary approach to prevent, identify, treat and reduce the impact of these difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Deliver outpatient treatment, providing specialist mental health services and tertiary consultation to children and young people in a community setting inclusive of other service partners.
* Provide comprehensive acute/non‐acute assessments and treatment for children and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.
* Deliver short to medium‐term family‐focused therapy, with interventions that may be individual, family or group within a recovery‐based model.
Role Requirements
* Professional qualification: Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW), Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA, or Clinical Psychologists with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress towards same), plus a minimum two‐year full‐time APAC‐accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology.
* Clinical experience: Extensive experience delivering family‐based intervention and therapeutic models by applying early intervention philosophy to infants, children, adolescents (0‐18years) and their families/carers.
* Negotiation & advocacy: Excellent negotiation, decision‐making and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
* Supervision & education: Ability to provide in‐depth advice and education to enhance service delivery, guide and support others, and provide clinical supervision to other staff.
* Quality improvement: Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes, and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
* Computer literacy: Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
* Driving licence: Current drivers licence, or willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
