Eligibility Requirements
* Must have a Diploma of Automotive Technology and relevant Cert III & Cert IV.
* At least 3 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic.
* Full‐time working rights in Australia.
* Applicants with experience working with a wide range of vehicles will be preferred.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of lightweight vehicles in the workshop to identify mechanical faults and assess the required repairs.
* Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil and fluid changes, filter replacements, and routine checks, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
* Check and bleed brake system, replace brake pads, discs, calipers, brake lines etc.
* Inspect and replace suspension components, e.g. shock absorbers, bushes, springs etc.
* Diagnose and replace clutch and drive‐line components.
* Check the operation of all electrical components, e.g. all lights, wipers, signals, horn, fuses etc.
* Operate advanced computerized diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues in petrol engines and other mechanical systems of vehicles.
* Conduct detailed inspections and road tests of vehicles after repairs or servicing to confirm they meet safety and road‐worthiness standards.
* Discuss problems with car owners/drivers to find faults, listen to engines, clarify specific needs of clients, take notes in writing and contact clients if any problem arises beyond the specified scope.
* Work as a team with other mechanics when teamwork is required.
* Work with machine drums and rotors.
* Clean floor and workplace area. Maintain hygiene.
