We specialise in the manufacture and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging servicing for the consumer and industrial sectors.
Reporting to the Production lead on site at our Dandenong manufacturing facility as a blow moulding Technician you will ensure the efficient and safe operation of machinery and production of materials. Your daily tasks include: monitoring the process of product for packaging accordance with approved procedures, quality standards and customer specifications, as well as assisting with machine operations.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
- Observe the safety obligations of an employee in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety
- Assist all manufacturing functions and maintain production requirements
- Ensure machine functions and manufacturing product are within specification
- Monitor machine corrections, machine stoppages and start ups
- Assist Die Setters, Leading Hands and Shift Foreman
- Separate product identified as non‑conforming and inform the Quality Control Officer and / or the Production Shift Foreman
- Seek advice on product or nonconformance issues
- Conduct visual inspection of product when packaging
- Record accurate information for completed pallets
- Maintain the work area in a clean and tidy manner
Your skills and experience
- Understands the requirements of production
- Is competent in all Technician Level 1 duties and has performed those duties for a minimum of 12 months
- Competently identifies types of plastics and production processes
- General Cleaning / Housekeeping as required
- Recording / Reporting of Production Data including completing downtime sheets
- Control Separation and Rework of Non‑Conforming Products
- Other General Duties as instructed by the Shift Foreman / Leading Hand
