We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Practice Accountant to join our growing accounting firm. This role is ideal for an accountant with experience in tax and business advisory who enjoys working closely with clients across a variety of industries.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns, providing business advisory support, and building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
Prepare BAS and IAS lodgements
Assist clients with tax planning and compliance matters
Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
Provide business advisory and bookkeeping support
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Support senior accountants and managers with client portfolios
Skills & Experience
Degree in Accounting or related discipline
CA or CPA qualified / working towards qualification
Minimum 2+ years' experience in public practice accounting
Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation
Experience using Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
Excellent communication and client service skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
