About the Role
**Your opportunity to learn and expand your experience includes**:
- Working within each of the Category Management Teams to provide support to State Schools, Corporate Divisions and Regional offices relating to purchasing and procurement policy and procedures;
- Collaborating with various Stakeholders and assist in the development of end-to-end procurement functions, whilst contributing towards the department's strategy and goals &;
- Assisting department staff to engage suppliers and manage supplier contracts.
In addition, Procurement Services Branch provides access to a large network of procurement professionals across both private and public sectors. **Highly Desirable**:
- Have graduated from a recognised Australian University within the last 12 months and;
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher that is relevant to procurement;
- Relevant degrees include but are not limited to Business/International Business, Communications, Economics/Commerce, Information Technology, Law and Logistics/ Supply Chain Management.
- Positive attitude and have a strong interest in procurement;
- Commitment to the development of procurement knowledge and practices;
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new things
- Strong presentation and analytical skills and can communicate to a wide range of audiences;
