About the Role

Permanent - Full Time

Are you an experienced Counsellor who is interested in passing on your knowledge to the next generation of workers?

Join our dynamic Community Services academic team and play a key role in teaching the next generation of first-class community service workers! You'll be essential in delivering engaging, high-quality education to our Bachelor of Community Services students, helping them build and refine the skills they need to excel in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lecturing, teaching, assessing and marking Counselling Units within the Bachelor of Community Services students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessments.
- Teaching lecture and tutorial classes.
- Engage in teaching evaluations, maintaining professional development and pursuing new teaching methodologies and strategies.
- Provide timely, comprehensive marking and feedback to students on all unit learning outcomes.
- Identify and monitor students who are at risk of failing and organise necessary student support efforts for the students.
- Respond to student emails and queries at a timely manner.
- Maintain high professional and ethical conduct, including high standards of self- management, resilience and collaborative behaviours.

About You

- Post Graduate qualification in Counselling, or closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in the counselling sector.
- Strong understanding of theory and practice.
- Excellent presentation and leadership skills.
