City on a Hill began with a small team and a big vision to make a difference in our world for the glory of God. Since our inception in Melbourne in 2007, we have witnessed a special work of God's grace as he has united hundreds of men and women around the mission of 'knowing Jesus and making Jesus known'. We are now a movement of thirteen churches, across five cities, united together by a vision to reach 10 cities with the beauty, truth and relevance of Jesus by planting 50 churches.
City on a Hill: Peninsula will be planted in 2026 as the fifteenth City on a Hill church, and the first on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula, a place of extraordinary beauty, vibrant community and deep spiritual need. The Peninsula is home to over 140,000 people in the Frankston City region alone. They are not just a number, they are friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues who need to hear the good news.
Since gathering vision in early 2025, we have already seen God at work in bringing together a growing launch team, answering years of faithful prayer, and stirring a genuine hunger for the gospel across the Peninsula. We are trusting God that as this church takes root, we will see new believers putting their faith in Jesus, and many more strengthened and equipped for a life of mission on the Peninsula and beyond.
The City Kids Coordinator plays a key role in this as they oversee the City Kids ministry. The successful applicant is a person who has a love for children and is passionate about seeing them encounter God, in his Word and through his people. They love working as part of the staff team to see our kids have an active and substantial role in the mission of our church to 'know Jesus and make Jesus known'.
The City Kids Coordinator will report to and work closely with the Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Peninsula.
This is a paid, part-time permanent position based at City on a Hill Peninsula.
As City on a Hill Peninsula is part of the City on a Hill movement of churches, support is provided through the leadership of the National Director of Next Generations, including training, supervision and curriculum.
