6. You will administer medication accurately and safely, adhering to facility standards and demonstrating proficiency in medication management.
7. You will closely monitor patient progress, reporting significant changes or concerns to physicians and documenting observations in medical records.
8. You will screen for discharge needs and communicate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless transitions of care.
9. You will record vital signs, intake and output, and other physical observations on designated forms.
10. You will educate patients and their caregivers on health-related topics, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to manage their conditions effectively.
11. You will prioritize pain management, implementing interventions as needed to optimize patient comfort.
12. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, mobilization, wound care, and other therapeutic needs, promoting independence and dignity.
13. You will obtain physician orders to address patient needs and preferences.
14. You will maintain equipment proficiency, facilitating timely maintenance requests to ensure optimal functionality.
Requirements:
* You must hold a graduate degree from an accredited college, university, or school of nursing.
* You are required to complete annual stroke in-service training.
* A current license or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas is essential.
* CPR (BLS) certification is mandatory.
* NIH Stroke Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire, unless in Pediatric or Nursery roles.
* ACLS certification is required biannually for Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, ICU, and House Supervisor positions.
* NRP and STABLE certifications are necessary biannually for Nursery roles.
* Professional certifications must be maintained and renewed prior to expiration dates.
