About the Role:
This pivotal position involves supporting workers in the horticultural industry in Far North Queensland. As their main point of contact, you will provide care and support to help them integrate into their environment, workplace, and develop skills for independent living in a new country.
* Addressing worker inquiries and helping them develop skills to resolve concerns independently.
* Building trust and strong relationships to understand and address concerns.
* Assisting workers with access to services such as medical care.
* Acting as a communication link between workers, the host employer, and relevant authorities.
* Identifying and escalating risks to worker wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and may involve out-of-hours work. We offer flexible working arrangements to accommodate this. You will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing strategies to support worker integration.
* Fostering strong relationships with workers, employers, and community groups.
