About the Role Reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Officer, you will oversee the financial operations of SwanCare, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting according to legislative requirements. You will lead and manage day‑to‑day operations of the Finance team, provide strategic insights, and ensure effective planning, monitoring and reporting of financial resources. You will assist in driving operational efficiency, ensuring that all financial activities align with SwanCare’s vision and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the Finance team, providing coaching and guidance and fostering a respectful and team‑oriented environment.

Manage timely and accurate preparation of financial reports including monthly internal management accounts, monthly board reports and annual financial statements.

Prepare the suite of SwanCare budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.

Oversee management and processes related to Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs) ensuring compliance with prudential standards.

Review and submit the Quarterly Financial Report, benchmarking reports and annual Aged Care Financial Report.

Lead and manage external audit processes.

Establish and uphold an internal audit framework that promotes continuous improvement.

Key Role Requirements

Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar role.

A hands‑on leadership style with experience managing a small to medium‑sized team.

Experience in the aged care sector is highly desirable.

Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Demonstrated ability to manage annual budgets and capital expenditure cycle.

Highly developed communication and influencing skills.

Experience using the accounting software Epicor is highly desirable.

Working rights within Australia.

National Police Clearance.
