Due to continued business growth and increased demand across our operations, we are expanding our National Estimating and Purchasing team and have multiple opportunities available for detail-focused and organised Purchasing Officers to join our Head Office in Darra, QLD on a full-time basis.
This role is primarily focused on the ordering of materials for residential construction projects, working closely with builders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate supply of products.
In this role, you will manage your own workflow, work to deadlines, and take ownership of ensuring materials are accurately ordered and delivered to site.
To succeed, you will be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
* Processing and placing purchase orders for roofing, fascia and gutters
* Reading and interpreting building plans to confirm product requirements
* Understanding customer specifications and providing appropriate solutions if required
* Ensuring accuracy of customer documentation and compliance requirements
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
* Reviewing and generating bill of material, roofing layouts for Purchase
Ideal Candidate qualities:
* Technically minded (This is not a procurement role)
* Experience in the residential construction industry
* Understanding of construction materials (fascia, gutter, or similar highly regarded)
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to accurately read and interpret building plans and visualise in 3D
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook
* Sound knowledge and application of mathematics
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Sound knowledge of Applicad Software (Preferrably)
