About ADF Health Services

In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. This includes providing defence‐ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on‐base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on‐site medical care.

About Puckapunyal

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour. It was first used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and by 1939 was formally established in the early 1940's. It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport. The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health. There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on‐call shifts).

Position

Based at the Puckapunyal Health Centre, you will provide support and treatments to valuable Defence Force Personnel. You will be responsible for providing a range of evidence‐based physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitative services to patients, including guidance on rehabilitation programmes, splinting/plastering/fitting of orthoses or other devices, use of electrotherapy modalities or hydrotherapy pools where required, and advice and recommendations to other health professionals.

Qualifications

* Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum of 2 years full‐time post‐graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years in an accredited physiotherapy environment (or part‐time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (desirable).

Eligibility

* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on‐base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
