The Opportunity
Student Services plays a central role in supporting student success across the entire student lifecycle, from admission through to graduation. The Careers Adviser contributes to this mission by delivering high‐quality career development learning and employability support that empowers students and graduates to make informed decisions about their education, careers, and future pathways.

In this role, you will partner with students, academics and industry stakeholders to deliver impactful career education initiatives, foster employability skills, and enhance graduate outcomes through evidence‐based and student‐centred support services.
You will
* deliver professional career development support through individual appointments, workshops, events and tailored learning resources;
* collaborate with academic staff, industry partners and student groups to enhance employability and career learning opportunities; and
* develop and implement engaging career education initiatives that support positive student and graduate outcomes.
About you
You are a student‐centred and collaborative careers professional with experience supporting diverse learners in a higher education or similar environment. You bring strong knowledge of career development and learning theory and apply this to your work to deliver engaging employability initiatives that support students to build career readiness, resilience and lifelong learning skills. You are an effective communicator who values partnership, inclusion and evidence‐based practice, with the ability to build strong relationships across academic, industry and student communities.
Qualifications
* A relevant degree and experience providing career guidance and employability support within a higher education or similar environment;
* Demonstrated application of Career Development Learning Theory and demonstrated experience in applying these principles in one‐to‐one guidance, workshops and resource development;
* Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with diverse student cohorts;
* Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with academic and industry stakeholders;
* Experience coordinating or contributing to events, programs or initiatives that enhance employability outcomes; and
* Eligibility for membership, or current membership, with relevant professional associations such as NAGCAS or CDAA, or progress toward a CICA‐approved qualification in Career Development.
