The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technician to join our quality team, specialising in Metrology.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the exceptional quality and reliability standards are met within the Manufacturing, R&D and logistics teams at Cochlear.
Your responsibilities include:
* Working closely with the Manufacturing, R&D and Logistics teams to deliver best quality metrology in line with Cochlear Quality standards.
* Operating manual and electric precision measuring instruments.
* Reporting and documentation in line with Cochlear Quality Management System.
* Calibration and maintenance of new and existing measuring equipment.
* Identification & procurement of new measuring equipment.
* Collaborating closely with engineers and other key members of the Cochlear team.
About You
As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers.
To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* 2 years measurement experience with small complex shape device components.
* Knowledge and experience in interpreting mechanical drawings.
* Good knowledge of calibration principles.
* Experience in operating programmable measurement equipment.
* Experience working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Basic knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Word.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with SmartScope, Video Measuring Microscope etc. highly regarded.
