As our customer base continues to grow across Australia Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role involves servicing and maintaining a diverse range of cranes including maritime cranes, harbour mobile and gantry cranes, with occasional work on crawler cranes and drilling and piling equipment.
This hands‑on role can be based in Adelaide, Melbourne or Perth with travel throughout Australia as required. We are looking for a proactive and driven individual who is passionate about promoting the Liebherr brand, committed to delivering best‑in‑class service, and eager to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Major and minor service
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components
- Routine maintenance, repairs and component replacements
- Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
- Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
- Adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
About you
- Trade qualified in Auto Electrical or Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over‑time as required
- Capable of working independently in the field, problem‑solving in various situations
- Crane industry experience desirable although not a requirement
- Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
- A current driver’s licence
