Part-Time Receptionist
Location: National Probation Service, Ipswich
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (paid weekly)
We are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, the National Probation Service, for a Part-Time Receptionist to join their team in Ipswich.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills to work within a professional environment, providing a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service while supporting the day-to-day running of the office.
The Role
As the first point of contact for visitors, service users and colleagues, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive and professional experience for everyone entering the office. Alongside reception duties, you will provide administrative support and assist with maintaining accurate records and databases.
Working Hours
This position is for 22.5 hours per week.
You will be required to work:
* Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and would be required to work at least one evening shift per week, with a finish time of up to 9:00pm
The remaining hours can be arranged flexibly to suit both the successful candidate and the needs of the service. The office operates late opening hours four evenings per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming visitors, service users and stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner
* Answering and directing telephone enquiries
* Managing the reception area and maintaining a professional front-of-house service
* Providing general administrative support to the wider team
* Accurately inputting and updating information on internal databases
* Using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Teams
* Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
* Previous reception, administration or customer service experience
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
* Strong keyboard and data entry skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A professional and approachable manner
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
* The ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a secure environment
