Key job responsibilities
Experience in technical support, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
Experience scripting in modern program languages.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
Day in the life
Dive deep to pinpoint the underlying causes of software-based issues, providing valuable assistance in escalations when necessary.
Apply Linux expertise to troubleshoot, innovate solutions, and resolve technical issues.
Efficiently manage ticket queues for both our internal team and partner service teams ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Lead the team to enhance operational efficiency by analysing root causes, trends and developing metrics, procedures, tools and documentation.
Engage with internal service teams to contribute to company-wide initiatives, including tasks such as patching, operating system migrations, and code releases.
Work with various internal software development teams to actively enhance systems and services within the team's scope.
Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and actively engage in knowledge-sharing sessions with the team.
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
1+ years of technical support experience.
Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
1+ year Linux/Windows systems administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in technical support.
Experience scripting in one or more language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
Experience troubleshooting & maintaining software.
