The Tasmania Devils Football Club is embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime journey, building a professional AFL / AFLW club from the ground up.

Your Role
The Head of Membership will lead the delivery, and growth of the Tasmania Football Club's Membership Program, bringing to life our Devil's Why : "Honour the Map. Inspire the Future." and turning passion into participation and belonging.
This role will establish high-performance systems, strong operational processes, and exceptional member experiences from launch.
It is both strategic and hands‑on, playing a pivotal role in connecting Devils fans across Tasmania, Australia, and the world with their Club, enhancing loyalty, inclusion, and pride.
Key Focus Areas
Drive the membership sales and service function to consistently achieve acquisition, renewal, and upgrade targets.
Lead the development and delivery of annual membership acquisition, lapsed member and renewal campaigns in partnership with Marketing.
Convert the founding member base into active, engaged members.
Use CRM insights to target key segments, personalise communications, and improve renewal outcomes.
Monitor performance analytics and apply data‑driven strategies to improve member value and sales results.
CRM & Ticketing Infrastructure
Lead the integration and management of Archtics and Ticketmaster systems in partnership with AFL Membership Shared Services.
Oversee data accuracy, segmentation, reporting, and CRM workflows to support sales and retention activity.
Define and implement the VFL / VFLW ticketing strategy, ensuring consistent and high‑quality delivery.
Work with internal data resources to strengthen automation, personalisation, and CRM capability.
Member Experience & Service
Set the strategic direction for premium, Social Club, Kids Club and broader member experience programmes.
Champion a culture of exceptional customer service across all channels.
Work with Events, Operations, Retail and Marketing to deliver seamless match‑day experiences.
Lead initiatives that strengthen connection, belonging and pride across the Club's statewide and global fan base.
Review member insights and feedback to continually improve service and experience standards.
Lead and support the Membership Team to deliver a high‑performing, sales and values‑driven membership programme.
Set team KPIs, expectations and standards aligned to sales and service outcomes.
Partner closely with Consumer, Commercial, Retail and Marketing teams to align membership outcomes with broader club objectives.
Build strong relationships with external partners including ticketing providers, fulfilment services, CRM vendors and shared services.
Role‑model and champion The Devils Way : teamwork, respect, authenticity and Tasmanian pride.
Critical Skills & Experience
Experience in a Memberships leadership role (AFL or elite sporting environment preferred).
Strong sales and growth mindset with proven experience delivering acquisition and retention results.
Expertise with Archtics, Ticketmaster and CRM systems
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing sales or service teams.
Strong data literacy, with experience using segmentation, insights and reporting tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate strategically while delivering operational excellence in a start‑up / build phase environment.
