We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic professional looking to complete their speciality training and work in a senior role, supporting Registrars and Resident Medical Officers. This position is best suited to a level 5 or 6 trainee.
Duties
* The Registrar is responsible for the day‐to‐day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients and provides after‐hours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Essential Requirements
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
Desirable Requirements
* Successful completion of RANZCOG examination.
Employment Details
* Salary: $138,978 - $194,675 per annum (in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025).
* Classification: Medical Practitioner Level 5‐11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar).
* Award: Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
* Period of Employment: Fixed term, full‐time day work, working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata), commencing 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028.
* Location: Royal Hobart Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
