**POSITION PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE**
The position is responsible for the coordination and / or maintenance of digital corporate
communications and marketing including social media, websites and e-newsletters;
developing and implementing the social media policy, strategy and guidelines; and
developing websites and digital tools, including a digital asset management system.
The position contributes to the effective and efficient implementation of the Corporate
Communications & Marketing Strategy and ensuring a professional and pos i t i ve
corporate profile and reputation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively develop and implement measures to help Council deliver its sustainability
goals.
- Coordinate and administer corporate digital communications and marketing for social
media, corporate website, online community engagement platform (Have Your Say)
and Staff Intranet, including the provision of staff training as required.
- Develop and implement the social media policy, strategy and guidelines and ensure
online activities contribute to the positive positioning of the City and Council.
- Coordinate Council's regular internal and external eNewsletters and other
publications, as required, relating to communications and marketing.
- Develop digital marketing strategies for corporate services and activities including the
production of quality online content, including video.
- Develop digital tools including the development and implementation of a digital asset
management system.
- Participate in the priority project to consolidate Council's online properties and further
develop Council's corporate website and Staff Intranet.
- Provide advice, support and assistance to staff and managers across Council relating
to digital communications and marketing activities and associated procedures and
standard, ensuring they are in line with Council's brand guidelines.
- Effectively support the Program Leader, Communications & Marketing by implementing
the Corporate Communications & Marketing Strategy that includes the service activities
of Media Management; Corporate Communications; Community Engagement; Public
Relations; Marketing; and Policy Management / Training.

**Workplace Health & Safety**
Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities as outlined in Councils
policies and procedures and under the relevant WHS legislation. These include but are
not limited to identifying potentially unsafe situations or work practices and notifying your
Supervisor or Manager (or the Health, Safety Manager/Area Safety Representative);
never performing a task that you believe is dangerous or for which you do not have the
experience, or have not received appropriate instructions and training or where the correct
equipment to carry out the task safely is not available; always work in a safe manner and
in accordance with safety instructions, where applicable; use the work equipment supplied
for the job, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions), and any personal
protective equipment, which the Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety

**COMMUNICATION**
- Write detailed correspondence, reports and submissions that require original sentence
and paragraph construction and wording
- The jobholder is required to anticipate and pre-empt customer requirements and do
utmost to meet these. I
