About the opportunity
The Claims and Recovery Support Division ("CaRS") supports the recovery and return to work of injured workers through contemporary claims management and person‐centered planning to maximise social and economic participation. The division is transforming how support and services are delivered, improving outcomes and shaping the future Recovery Service Model for the Victorian Workers Compensation scheme.
The Recovery and Support Administrator will provide a diverse range of administrative support in a hybrid capacity, with a key focus on supporting Access to Information (ATI) requests.
Key accountabilities
* Use judgement and decision‐making within prescribed delegations to support downloading and reviewing ATIs in accordance with Section 9 of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation (WIRC) Act.
* Perform high‐quality administrative tasks related to claim management and support business goals of the CaRS Division.
* Identify risks that could impact task completion and appropriately raise concerns.
* Utilise the claims management system and related systems to source and store information accurately.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, pinpointing systemic issues and recommending process enhancements.
About you
You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer‐service skills, time management and flexibility, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Required skills and experience:
* Interpret and apply relevant legislation, including the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic) and the Privacy Act.
* Work in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining high integrity and confidentiality.
* Strong IT skills: use of Office software and ability to learn uncommon document management and IT systems.
* Proactive approach to prioritise tasks aligned with strategic goals.
* Working knowledge of insurance and medical terminology (desirable).
* Experience with Salesforce, Novus, Tempus, and ACCtion systems (desirable).
