Second in Charge (2IC) – After School Care
This permanent, part‐time position offers hands‐on experience in the OSHC industry. You will be supported by a Director of Service to help you thrive in your role.
Service Location: Newport Gardens
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Afternoon – 2:50 pm to 6:00 pm
Responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver high‐quality care and memorable experiences for children.
* Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
* Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching activities based on children's preferences.
* Foster genuine relationships with children, parents, and families.
* Ensure program compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications & Expectations:
* Prior experience in Before and After School Care or education is desirable but not essential – training will be provided.
* Thrives in a fast‐paced environment and maintains a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
* Strong team player with excellent problem‐solving skills.
* Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary‐aged children.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and supportive of a fun learning environment.
* Relevant diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
* Completion of mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencement.
