**Job Summary:** We are seeking a friendly and caring Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
**Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, responding to queries and providing information
* Process personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations
* Maintain and monitor the practice appointments system
* Process repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
* Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; scanning, processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
* Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers
* Clear and restock consulting rooms as required
* Provide clerical assistance to practice staff including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning
**Requirements:
* Experience of working in primary care/healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Organisational and time management skills
* Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
* Able to use own initiative and work flexibly
