Overview
Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downers strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high quality services at scale.
We currently have an opportunity for a Handyperson to join our workforce and support the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, located at Willawong Distribution Centre. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general maintenance and repairs across multi-sites
* Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
* Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
* Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
* Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyperson work
* Construction White Card
* Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical)
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
* Good time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
* Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records
* Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
* Working with Childrens Check mandatory
* Trade qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential)
