Your role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Coordinator to join the Gosford Community Corrections Team. The Project Coordinator Co-Existing Disorders provides advice and support to Community Corrections Officers in the Case Management of Offenders with co‐existing disorders and liaises with external stakeholders, both government and non-government, to establish and maintain inter‐agency case management strategies for this group of high‐risk, high‐consequence offenders.
The role will also research, develop and implement strategies to improve the management and supervision of offenders with co‐existing disorders supervised in the community on post‐sentence supervision orders.
Community Corrections also provides advice to sentencing authorities, both pre and post sentence, to support the management of community‐based orders.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated professional who brings:
* Demonstrated experience working in a Community Corrections or criminal justice environment, providing supportive case management to offenders with co‐existing disorders
* Sound knowledge of the criminal justice system
* Strong understanding of referral pathways within mental health, disability and alcohol and other drug services
* Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a complex, fast‐paced environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Leadership capability, with a commitment to accountability, continuous improvement and policy compliance
* Resilience and professionalism, balancing the needs of offenders, the courts and the community in a sensitive environment
* Current driver's licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
