Responsibilities
As a Waiter, you will deliver qualified and efficient food and beverage service to guests in accordance with our high hospitality standards. You will ensure a welcoming dining atmosphere, maintain robust product knowledge of the menu and beverages, and provide attentive service throughout the customer experience. The role involves liaising between guests, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure orders are accurately communicated and delivered promptly.
Tasks
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and escort them to their tables.
Present menus and beverage lists, providing detailed explanations when requested.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
Open bottles and pour beverages professionally, including wines and specialty drinks.
Clear and reset tables between courses and after service.
Handle customer requests and complaints promptly and courteously.
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process cash and card payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
Monitor customer satisfaction throughout service and take appropriate action to enhance the experience.
Follow all hygiene, safety, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) standards.
Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth service operations.
Assist in training new front-of-house staff as required.
