Position Overview
We are seeking a full‐time Garage Door and Openers Installer to join our energetic and supportive team. This hands‐on role involves installing, servicing, and repairing various types of garage doors and openers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, reliable, and customer service‐oriented, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Overtime is available, and the company will provide vehicle and tools.
Key Responsibilities
* Install roller doors, sectional doors, tilt doors, and automatic door openers.
* Service and repair garage doors and openers.
* Perform basic steelwork fabrication and welding.
* Ensure high‐quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
* Maintain compliance with OH&S and other safety standards.
* Provide excellent customer service, representing the company's values and professionalism.
* Work both independently and as part of a team, solving problems on the go.
* Maintain accurate documentation of operational activities.
* Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Requirements
* Mechanical aptitude and hands‐on skills.
* Solid customer service orientation.
* Experience in installing and repairing garage doors and openers is preferred but not essential (training provided).
* ACT manual driver's licence.
* Construction induction white card.
* Asbestos awareness card.
* Silica awareness card.
* Ability to lift and handle items weighing 20–35 kilograms.
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
* Tech savvy is a plus.
* Basic electronic knowledge is an advantage.
* Good problem‐solving skills.
* Team player with a genuine desire to help others.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a related industry such as building and construction.
* Understanding of construction principles and manufacturing processes.
