About Quinbrook

Quinbrook is a specialist investment manager focused on infrastructure for the energy transition, including renewables, storage, grid solutions, digital infrastructure and decarbonisation.

Our Brisbane team works across both investment and development activity, giving team members exposure to live transactions, commercial structuring, project development, portfolio management and Investment Committee decision‐making.

The Brisbane investment team includes senior leaders, experienced mid‐level team members and newer investment professionals, creating strong opportunities for mentorship, collaboration and development. As part of Quinbrook's global platform, the team also benefits from exposure to senior global leadership, including Quinbrook's Global CEO and Head of Fundraising APAC, both of whom are based in Brisbane.

Quinbrook's purpose is to accelerate the energy transition by delivering innovative, high‐impact infrastructure and clean energy projects that create lasting value for our employees, investors, communities and the planet.

The role

We are looking for an Associate to join our investment team in Quinbrook's Brisbane office on a full‐time basis. Candidates do not need to currently live in Brisbane but must be willing to relocate if appointed. Relocation support will be considered for the right candidate.

This role is suited to someone with prior relevant experience, strong financial modelling capability and a genuine interest in infrastructure and energy transition investing. You will be expected to own core analytical outputs, contribute commercial judgement, support transaction execution and help prepare Investment Committee materials.

What you'll do

* Build, review and maintain financial models for acquisitions, developments, financings and portfolio assets.
* Undertake valuation, returns analysis, sensitivities and scenario testing.
* Analyse markets, commercial structures, counterparties, regulation, technologies and project risks.
* Support due diligence, including coordinating inputs from advisers and internal teams.
* Prepare and contribute to Investment Committee and Board papers and approval materials.
* Support transaction execution, including bid preparation, data room review and commercial analysis.
* Work across both investment and development opportunities, from origination through execution, portfolio management and exit.
* Contribute to portfolio monitoring, valuation support, investor reporting and value creation analysis.
* Engage professionally with colleagues, advisers, development partners, management teams and counterparties.

What we're looking for

Required:

* Minimum 3‐5 years of experience in infrastructure, energy, renewables, investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, development or a related analytical role.
* Strong Excel financial modelling skills.
* Sound understanding of valuation, returns analysis and commercial drivers.
* Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
* Clear written communication and ability to turn analysis into structured recommendations.
* Interest in infrastructure, renewables, storage, grid solutions, digital infrastructure or decarbonisation.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly on timelines, assumptions and risks.
* Collaborative working style, professional judgement and integrity.

Nice to have

* Direct experience in renewable energy, battery storage, power markets, grid infrastructure, energy retail, data centres or industrial decarbonisation.
* Exposure to MCA, project finance, development‐stage assets or capital raising.
* Experience preparing IC papers, board papers, lender materials or investor presentations.
* Familiarity with Australian energy markets, grid connection, offtake structures, planning or project delivery.
* Experience coordinating advisers or managing diligence workstreams.

What success looks like

* Produce accurate, thoughtful and well‐structured models and analysis.
* Take ownership of defined workstreams with appropriate guidance.
* Identify key diligence questions, risks and value drivers.
* Prepare clear materials for senior review and Investment Committee discussion.
* Build trust by being reliable, transparent and constructive.
* Contribute to a team culture of collaboration, curiosity, accountability and integrity.

Why join Quinbrook

You will work on real assets, real capital and real decisions connected to the energy transition. This role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, including origination, analysis, diligence, execution, portfolio management and exit. You will work closely with experienced investment, development, technical, legal and finance colleagues in a team that values high performance, learning and collaboration.

Location and working expectations

This role is based in Quinbrook's Brisbane office and is full-time as Quinbrook's working model is built around in‐person collaboration, mentorship and rapid knowledge sharing.
