Account Executive – Corporate Commercial
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Commercial team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Townsville and requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and grow personal relationships and a book of business, contributing to team sales targets.
* Conduct research and analyze personal and core team accounts to understand business needs.
* Utilize risk expertise and knowledge of the industry and insurance market to review clients' exposures and loss experience and develop solutions.
* Execute renewal/placement strategies in collaboration with the Placement, Advisory Leader, and Client Executive.
* Assist in presentations to prospective clients and develop innovative solutions to gain new clients.
* Identify expansion opportunities for personal and team accounts, leveraging an advanced understanding of internal service and product offerings.
* Define the strategy for custom solution development for the team portfolio, communicating sales targets and expectations.
* Attend industry events and conferences to build a strong professional network and represent the company.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a commercial insurance environment.
* Tier 1 FSRA strong business acumen and knowledge of general business functions.
* Good problem‐solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to prioritize work, multi‐task, and meet deadlines consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
* ANZIIF qualification is highly regarded.
* Sound understanding of business and organizational risk management.
* Prior experience managing a portfolio of complex accounts.
* Thorough understanding of all aspects of insurance and strategic client engagement.
* Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
