We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join DesignInc Sydney in a part time capacity within the IT team.
This is junior to mid level role involves assisting the Head of IT by providing support across all levels while working on the service desk for all staff queries and issues. This role is available 4 days per week (25 hours).
This includes:
- Being responsible for providing IT support at all internal events and presentations
- Providing Desktop Support (Windows Based) & Microsoft Office Support
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, telephones, networks, printers and scanners
- Upgrading operating systems and computer software
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Monitoring printer toners, papers and ordering supplies
- Moving computers around the office when necessary
- Following and developing loan equipment booking processes and procedures, ensuring equipment is booked out and checked in on return
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company
- Improving the call resolution, user documentation, policies, troubleshooting guides, knowledge-base and internal procedures within IT
- This is a 'hands on' role and we need a team player with a positive attitude to take on each new task, no matter how big or small.
- To be successful in the role you will have/be:
Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience as IT Support
Excellent knowledge of computers and associated MS software packages
Positive support knowledge of printers and peripherals
Good understanding of WAN/LAN networking, firewalls, switches, routers
Knowledge of Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Scripting
Knowledge of Backup Software’s Symantec and Veeam
Experience with desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) & imaging
A technical, logical thought process
Problem-solving skills
An ability to stick to strict deadlines
An ability to priorities and delegate
Working experience in the architecture industry is an added advantage
