About the Role:
Allied Express is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to lead all aspects of our QLD driver recruitment, retention, and fleet management. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring our operations run smoothly, clients are serviced effectively, and our fleet meets current and projected business needs. The Fleet Manager will oversee driver onboarding, training, and pay queries, while maintaining fleet equipment, uniforms, and vehicle signage to uphold company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to ensure fleet numbers meet operational demands.

- Manage all aspects of driver recruitment, including advertising, lead follow-up, interviews, onboarding, and training.

- Monitor and resolve driver issues and pay queries in collaboration with the State Operations Manager.

- Oversee fleet equipment, including PDAs, SIM cards, vehicle signage, and uniforms, ensuring all resources are accounted for.

- Lead and manage the Fleet Administration team, fostering high performance and alignment with company goals.

- Ensure compliance with WHS and company policies, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

- Contribute to the QLD management team, providing expert input for strategic planning and driving a positive company culture.

- Driver Retention – oversee driver engagement, resolve issues promptly, and ensure stability of fleet numbers.

- Equipment Control – maintain PDA, SIM card, uniform, and decal registers for QLD fleet.

- Health & Safety – ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
