Key Responsibilities
* Processing patient pre‐admissions, admissions, discharges and transfers
* Performing health fund eligibility checks
* Managing patient files and documentation
* Responding to enquiries from patients, clinicians, staff and external providers
* Booking patient appointments and transport
* Providing clerical support across other hospital administrative areas as required.
Selection Criteria
* Previous reception or administrative experience
* Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Well‐developed computer and data entry skills.
* Experience in a hospital or medical environment
* Understanding of health fund tables and informed financial consent
* Knowledge of health records systems
* Experience using patient administration systems and databases.
